im looking at installing a couple of ceiling mounted exhaust fans in a couple bathrooms.

What is code as far as how far away from the shower head do these have to be mounted?

I always mount the fans close to and in front of the toilet. If it has a light then it goes more over the toilet. As far as I can find in the code book, the only thing mentioned about light and fans near showers and tubs are pendent hung or mounted below thw the ceiling. You can mount it inside the shower if it is rated for wet locations, but I think most are not.

I am located just south of Atlanta!
