Quest vs. Monogram 46

Which of these two brands do you prefer. I'm switching from Norandex to either Mastic or Certainteed, also what experience have you guys had with the dark color choices available now, do you see them holding up over time and is there anything different I need to watch out for while installing. The HO is going to pick something dark.:tongue_smilie:

quest now comes in a 25 foot length whereas monogram is 20 foot..both are a .46 thickness and both have a double nail hem. its really comes down to which one looks best in your eyes.
personally I prefer Crane.
Royal has the best color fade warranty on the market. If you going with a dark color that would be a good reason to use royal over the rest.

Otherwise let's face it. Vinyl siding is pretty much matured to it's pinnacle. All 3 brands you named are good.
i am not a big fan of Royal's finish, same with Alside. alcoa, certainteed,or crane all get my vote.
which ever one has a sales rep that will better serve you. We prefer Mastic products. we are doing 95% quest this year

are using the 25' panel or 12" ?
We price out 12' panels and tell people that we CAN use 25' panels if they would like to upgrade but usually when it comes down to contract time they dont bother. We have been doing a ton of odd colors this year that done come in 25's so that gets us off the hook quite a bit.

The only thing that sucks for us using the quest is 99% of the distributors choose carvedwood as their stock product. So its a pain for us cause we have to be on top of where we are going to be going to make sure we always have the stuff on order.

yea but i doubt they stock every color in that branch. around here most people stock every color of carvedwood and some of the quest colors. Most of the time they pull them from other branches but it can still be a pain if you run short on a job
around here Bradco is getting back with the old alcoa lines
for awhile all they had was crane
they did carry heartland i know someone brought them out
not sure of its avalibility, that was rated highest in consumers report
for whatever thats worth
Heartland was bought out by ProVia doors and windows.

Bradco has it but in my local branch but they are not allowed to stock it. They have to deliver it from a branch about an hour away
