Buy sheet goods and make your own. Quick and easy. No heat blankets.

 

Yep sheet goods is the way to go!! If your radius is not crazy you can do what we used to do by building a box out of 2x12's and put your stick of pvc in there and stick a torpedo heater on the one end. with a little time and some paitence you can get it to flex quite a bit. Like I said that was the old way we used to do it before the sheet goods came into play!

 

all that stuff can now be purchased already done,couple of cortex screws and ...done

 

Buy sheet stock cellular PVC or get the blankets. They do not have to be purchased from AZEK. Sheet would be much easier.

Have you thought about using a router? find out the radius and make a jig and create your own trim piece.. I don't like using the heat meathod personally.. once you have your jig set up.. it's fairly easy and the trim arch comes out perfect every time...

We got our last custom bent PVC trim board done at Harvey Building Products. We made them a template of the inner radius and specified the width and thickness. It took a couple of weeks for them to do the job ... I don't know if that was typical or not.

 

if the window is a new construction unit just give them the model number

i like making my own trim,but sometimes getting it made is easier and much less mess,also the flashings are built in

 

just called the azek rep and tell them to bring their blankets to a job to demo them for you. :whistling

An old boat builders trick

Router works great attached to a rotating piece of plywood, as someone mentioned. If you don't have those tools try an old trick. Create a template out of plywood or whatever material you have that's cheap. Measure you're arch height and width and transfer those measurements on to your template material. Add an inch on one side of your width on one side. Cut the angle from the peak of the arch at the middle to the tip of the width on the side that does not have an inch added to it. Make a notch in the middle at the top of the angle to put your pencil in.
