Needed to run new and correct waste pipe for basement bathroom.

Opened up the concrete floor and walla - water coming up. It's not from a pipe - it's from the soil. I did not even get a foot down before it started seeping up.

Need to know what kind of pump would work to help eliminate water so I can finish my job. Clay drain tiles and i can't find a Palmer valve either -eeek!

yeah - you say waders I say waiters. You are correct however. Just a little side tracked here. For pete's sake. I open up the freakin floor and hello! Water starts coming up. Not a pipe and a sump pump would work but right now I am not so freaken happy. I am trying to find a way to do this darn it - I am not even finished with floor break up yet. All muck.

So - what is the best type of sump pump to use in this situation? I have to use them - but in water ONLY situations. So - I have sand/clay layers - clay is - well....:w00t:

Many companys make them but just make sure it has a mesh pre filter of some kind. Be it metal or plastic. Even a small one should do enough gallons/hr to suit what you need. If it's a soil pipe then you can only have the water that is exiting the building coming through it so either shut of the water and make sure all toilets are flushed then do your repair.

I need that exact wording and it help very much. I new there were different pumps ???

So = we're getting drain tile - partial and exterior trenching so the problem will helped for all the building so when we pump the water it will help stay that way.

I need to make sure you are acknowledged for your help. It really helps when you are literally knee deep in muck.

Try a trash pump.
