problems with gell stain on a fiberglass door

now if i can get this through my bosses thick scull! he had some guy brush the stain on and just let it dry...looks like hell.

Wow, I've always ragged on gel stain, cutting it with mineral spirits until it looks like I want. If it's tto light I put another light coat on the first dry coat. Did this guy try to go too heavy you think? Gel stain has always been perfect for me.
