I'm in Utah, and with the economy down-turn, I'm trying to become more competitive in the finish carpentry industry (been in construction for 30 yrs. and specialized in high-end finish work for half that). Wondered if anyone can give me a better idea for pricing, and rates for finish work bidding. I've done it by T&M when the industry was thriving, but that isn't working now that things have tightened up. I'm trying to home-in on more competitive bidding. So far - I'm not winning the bids. I'd appreciate any input. Thank you.
