Hello, haven't been on here for quite a while and have actually been out of the work scene for about 18 mos. Anyway trying to get back to work & have a request from a customer in central missouri to paint only the trim work. Curious as to how you guys would suggest bidding this, most of it can be reached either from the ground or off a say 6-8 ft step ladder, but there are 2 dormers with windows which will require say like a 24 ft ladder to reach. Most of it will most likely require some prep, scraping etc. So would you bid this hrly or do it by the linear ft? If doing it by the foot, how much per foot. I am in a fairly small town, but there is an abundance of quasi-contractors in the area (read quasi-contactors as 1-2 guys with a p/u & a ladder) Any & all hints would be appreciated.
