I'm looking into bidding on prevailing wage projects but have not done so before. Is there a good reference source on how to do it. I know there is a trade wage schedule and required paperwork is necessary but there is risk in not doing this correctly. I'm interested in what mark-up I use on the labor, should I expand my benefits now, and how I can protect myself against a sub making a mistake on the number of hours to do the job.

Straight pricing questions are frowned upon here, as are 'Going Rate' questions. If you are a contractor seeking advice regarding your pricing structure, the Moderators of this forum would like to direct you to this pricing thread - Pricing, Estimating and Success.

ContractorTalk.com is designed for professional contractors to discuss issues and topics related to the construction and remodeling industries.
