How do you cement stone guys like us to leave electrical boxes and such for you to build into your stone columns ??

I'm not a cement guy, but as a mason when we're laying stone, your boxes need to be set out the width of the stone we're laying

Depending on the stone, it could be anywhere between 1 1/2" to 6" out, to enable us to keep it flush. Same for brick.

Just curious, why a square stone in a rubble style job?

I think it looks cool, and it makes sense....like a stone light plate and IMO, it's better than a light stuck on a random sized stone.

Just make sure the box isn't live and that there's enough slack
