What brand/type of caulk do you prefer and for what type of application.

Lately I like DOU-SIL urethane acrylic sealant and adhesive.

Comes in many colors good for a handyman.

Keep a wet rag close unless you like spend the day peeling it off your finger tips.

I am not a big fan of pheno....its drys real hard, I go with ALEX ultra for interior trim, any movement in the materials and the caulk just streches with it, no cracks or gaps. I also don't like the fact that no matter what I do, there is ALWAYS a little air trapped in any tube of Pheno I use, so as I caulk it out, and even if I hit the release, the Pheno keeps coming out...super annoying....

PL exterior....

I love the OSI SBR100 (goes on super smooth) for outside stuff and the OSI Quad for inside or anything other than white. At least no one has said Geocel yet.

Exterior P&L door, window, trim ultra flexible like bubble gum.

IMO, ALEX sucks so does ALEX Plus. Caulking cracks out within a year.

I sure like the new fast drying Alex 35yr painter's caulk. I don't know how it holds up in the long run though?
