Since probably every contractor has a digital camera, I think it would be interesting if we pick Friday, for instance, and everyone (even the plumbers) take a picture of what you are doing, or project, and post them on Saturday or Sunday. My camera is in my truck with 2 months worth of pictures on it....and I need to download and sort anyway.

So how about it? Let's all post a picture by this weekend of a project.

nice workmanship
Thanks for posting it.
Was the arch on the door from one piece?
Thanks alot Dan. Was a little worried these guys can pick apart work( lotta good craftsman on ct) but no it wasn't one piece. From the side rails there's a header piece and then on each side a piece goes at a angle then I trace the template I made on to the door then cut just out side the line place and clamp the template back on the door and trim it down with a flush cut router bit to insure that the door matches the frame. Then reason behind not using one piece is to cut down on the end grain exposed so it will paint smooth.

Thanks again Dan: thumbsup:

hope it's okay

Okay, it's not MY project, and I'm a writer and a historian, but...

Mr. Hubby just finished building this pergola in our backyard. What makes this story truly remarkable is that he's an ATTORNEY and he's not accustomed to working with his widdle paws. :)

We just had a couple stop by our house and ask for the plans because they're going to build one in their backyard. Short of doing a Vulcan Mind Meld with Mr. Hubby, I don't know how to help them.

He built it from a picture, out of one of my 1924 plan books. He said he had to revisit 12th grade Geometry to do the hip roof. :)

First is the photo from the 1924 book:

Best bridge work so far!
Not sure that's the golden gate I am not actually working on the bridge that pic was taken from the house I was working on I take lunch and stare at the bridge.

Not sure who does the painting but I hear they start at one end and work there way down and then come right back across they are painting it all year round every day.

Concrete floor resurfacing

Concrete floor resurfacing project, Laguna California. Cement based underlayment used for concrete repair prior to installation of hardwood flooring. The product was installed at a 3/8" average thickness in order to smooth and resurface the concrete slab.

Ah what the hell, I have not posted any pictures in a long time. Here is a modern contemporary like built-in piece of furniture I did for a home office. Man I hate contemporary but have gotten compliments on it. I personally love the color. Customer drew out what she wanted and I made her dream come true.

Wood species is cherry select
Color is paprika
Slab doors
Framed boxes but full overlay doors
Adjustable shelves
Roll out trays behind base doors
9' ceiling

True satisfaction is standing in a finished room where only a dream once existed.
