Display boxes for the black shelving units are blue now. Same BM Prussian Blue that I did the NJ Vanity in.

Got about 1/2 way finished with assembly today. Lots of little weird issues cropped up. Mostly with integrating the display boxes with the shelf. Still waiting on some wiring items before I can really go gung ho assembly.

Damn hard trying to get the picture colors to look like the real thing. Apparently my cell phone camera sucks at blues. Had to put it in manual mode and play with the settings to get it to look close and then photoshopped the rest of the way. Same thing with the black. It definitely has a brown background to it but the camera was making it mostly brown when it's mostly black. But every screen is different which is why you can never trust colors on a screen, only in person.

That's what they chose. The blue still looks bright in the photo and it's not.

I remember walking through my house before I bought it and then when I started moving in I went into the living room and there was this bright green carpet, with white wall paneling. I don't know what they had for furniture and decorations to make that carpet disappear but it musta matched all together.

To make sure I got rid of the carpet I did all the sheetrock and insulating with the carpet unprotected. Then I told my wife "Awwwww, looks like we have to replace it" Put a nice steel blue color carpet in it's place.

Finally sold a quartz wall shower job, stone contractor set the final slabs Monday and we did the plumbing trim yesterday. If it wasn't over an hour away from me and my subs it would have gone much smoother. Unfortunately one of the doors was damaged in transport so we're stuck on that 😡. Extra low shelves were by customer request.

Got the lights powered up in the display boxes for the shelving unit.

They aren't as bright as I expected. Which is probably a good thing. They look brighter in the photos.

Using the new fangled wire locks for this project instead of terminal blocks like I usually use when I wire up LED lighting. Found exactly what I need too. The LEDs came with a small 12 volt/watt power supply which will connect into the 2 single locks and then I have the 6 lights wired together as 3 pair using 20ga stranded with with a black/red insulation. And then the lighting will be snapped into the 3 sets of outputs. Makes it nice and easy.

Thinking about buying a bunch of assorted ones and having them in stock. Says they are good for line voltage. Not sure how the local inspectors would feel about them. Plus locknuts are much cheaper.

Doesn't say it. Which likely means it's not. I posted the question to see if the manufacturer will answer.

Just using them for low voltage.

Custom in Mason County. The Rock lugs high on this one (we usually set it at grade) because she wants to build a retaining wall and compact fill to that level for a flat yard. Chimney caps will be installed after fireplaces are installed. Drywall going up inside

Turning out pretty nice for a moderately priced custom. Missing shower glass and a few small items still, manntle, closet rods. I'll get pics of the media wall and exterior tomorrow. 23k under budget

I added the wood ceiling treatments for free, I installed the TNG and used some old material in the shop for the rest. I just like the look and she did as well, some people don't. I hate that the bedroom ceiling beams are painted, I'd rather of done distressed/stain

I made a small army of Easels LOL

Friend has a funeral today and he needed more easels than the funeral home had so he asked if he could come by and we could bang some out quick. Nothing special. Not great looking but totally functional. He called yesterday at 5 to ask and came by today at 930. He left at 115 with a dozed of them.

The one towards the right is something I made when we had Mom's funeral. Kind of a guide to make these but I took a different route. The support leg is removable and you can stack them in a pile to deliver them.

Everything is beyond the reach of my equipment. 118" track and a 123" board. Saw will do 1 15/16" deep and the board is 2 1/8" thick. But.... I was still able to get a nearly perfect joint between the two. Held together with only one clamp. I even impressed myself.

The third board is fighting me. It has an upward bow in it of about 1/2". Getting them lined up with no glue was a battle. Putting glue in the joint is going to lubricate it and make it worse. Gonna have to use biscuits or something to hold them tighter.
