I am working on a moisture problem on a house with a pool patio that butts up to the house it is level with the patio door. The patio contractor has put caulking but moisture seems to work in. How far below the base should the patio be. Are there codes for this?

Is it getting underneath a threshold of a door?

We have codes but that doesn't mean that you do. Every entry into my house has about a 4" difference.

The Patio runs the length of the house and water has entered in areas along the wall as well as under the door

If its getting in under a door, you really have to take the door out and flash it or silicone it under the threshold. That with a gutter or a diverter might be needed also.

What is the house constructed out of?

Wood, block, brick veneer over wood/block?
