Carpenter / Foreman / superintendent

This is a working with the tools position

Construction Company requires an experienced carpentry foreman / supervisor to oversee a large wood frame condominium project in the lower mainland.

Supervise and manage the day to day operations of the site.
Keep a time schedule, and control trades to finish the project on time.
Look for and implement cost savings.
Order material and account for them.

Must have 20 years experience in the industry.
Must have at least level 2 First Aid
Must be able to read plans, suggest recommendations and corrections / improvements to consultants such as Engineers and Architects.
Must be hands-on on the job and not only supervise but also perform construction duties. (This is not an office duty, the candidate must control, supervise and do construction work.
Must have an overall knowledge and skills on finishing

You must have a truck, tools, and preferably a bobcat or similar equipment.

Monday to Friday 6:45AM to Closing time
Saturday 8:30AM to Closing time

Thats not too crazy.5K a month is ok...Not sure what that is in Canadian $$ though.
Pretty poor if you've gotta provide a truck, tools, and a Bobcat though!!

Yeah..Didn't read it to well.Also want you there 6 days a week for who know's how long per day....

Well, that's not all that great, but if you're not working, then it's not all that bad.

I make more than that pretty easy if I get 40 hours a week, but as of late, it's not that easy to get. Usually, this time of year, I have 50 hours a week....

For the right person it might be a good gig. You don't have to have a bobcat, they'd just like you to! :no:
