Specifically, where the existing eave meets the new roof, as in the photo here. I feel like there is a much simpler way to do it while minimizing failure points like snow accumulation.

 

Are the pitches on the small gable roofs really as shown? I looks like they are at a steeper pitch than the main roof. Very weird looking.

I have some ideas but would like to know that info before stating anything.

Thanks for the reply. I think they are the same as the main roof. I measured 4' out from the main roof but I didn't measure how wide the small gables are or roof pitches.

I guess I'd better go get some better measurements now that I have the job.

I'm sure interested to see the design! That's a tough intersection... and I also have the same situation at my house but only one intersection gable. Trying to figure out how to fix the chit show the last guy did.

 

Yes indeed Andy. I checked out your website you're the real deal. And super helpful on here as well I've noticed. I have typically done simpler builds like gable additions or patio roofs that don't require much but this year has been swarming with atypicallity. I don't do a ton of volume but would like to talk with you about your offerings. My ultimate goal is to eventually get into new construction building. I have a couple of clients who are talking about building. One in the near future.

I think I've figured out a passable way to do this one. I'll update when I get at the computer.

And the other side. I wish I would've got the ladder out and got a photo of topside but the addition roof just one plane that ties in to the existing.

 

Nice looking work, but it look like it was a pain in the ass.

Water management and ventilation Must have been a bichh.

 

Thanks for your reply. They're always a pain in some way or another. It's a lot of work. Though definitely a priority, I wouldn't consider water management or ventilation the hard part lol.
