Patching Hardiplank.

330 Views 12 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  Randy Bush
My electricians apprentic thought this would be a great place for the Christmas light plugs. Nope.

My electrician did me a major solid on this job, so, no, I'm not backchargimg him. Wouldn't anyway.

However, I would rather not swap panels, as they would stand out when painted.

We are repainting the lower section, but would like to avoid repainting and replacing these two panels.

Anybody have any luck making holes like these disappear?

The attachments don’t work for me.
You did a good job because I don't see them.
Yeah, not sure what's up. Tapatalk usually works.

Drill it out and put a vent plug in there...equal it out and do one on the other side as well, paint to match. Or...tape it off, fill with bondo fiberglass. As it sets, striate a matching wood grain pattern, paint to match. Or...rip it off and replace it 😆

Dang it. All of those ideas sound like work.

Tear it all off and replace it with LP.

I patched one like that last year. Bondo with fiberglass after sealing edges with crazy glue, sanded it scraped profile with flat bar edge and paint
