I just finished a small bathroom remod. The customer kept their old cabinets circa 1978.One side of the cabinet is in poor shape, nail holes and what not.
The customer asked me if I thought she could/should paint it.

What say you?I had no idea what to tell her.She wants to fill the nail holes(there was some stuff nailed to it that has been removed) and paint one section of it the same color as the walls.

Thanks....

I scuffed the sruface then used faux effect product called prime etch. The I layered paint with sponges, let it thoughly dry and used a barrier coat of aqua gaurd. Then Finished with a commercial grade Urathane call
c -500 , Also a faux effects product. It lasted 2 years and I just did a light scuff and re applied the C-500. Looks great.
