I have been asked by an Architect to price out painting a PVC Pergola. I have in turn asked my painter to give me a price. I want to make sure it is prepped right. What is the best way to prep PVC so that it will take the paint?

I remember a few years ago I had to paint a PVC column and I had to prep it but I do not remember what we used.

Thoughts?
