Wife calls me at 4:30 and says no hot water.
Run home find thermostat wires fried.
Third tstat in 4 months.
Old WH now dump fodder.

Called supply house at 4:55 & asked them to set me out a WH & supply lines. Advantage of a small town....:thumbsup:

Not sure what to make of those pictures it looks like a mess!
I think your tank might have gotten the blame for something else being wrong hopefully your next one doesn't fry also. Sounds like a job for an electrician :)

Replaced both stats all three times...
Hard water at your place? Just wonder if maybe a build-up of mineral deposits on the elements could have been the original culprit. I know, I know. Some people would say, "just replace the p.o.s.".

I am sure at some point a similar situation may arise with us., I think it's good to use this situation as a reference. That's the reason I am/was trying to figure out what may have been happening.
