Work completely dried up for me in concrete construction. Around here subdivisions were cut in with utilities and streets and no homes built, commercial jobs were halted- I still pass by a partially completed hotel I bid on 2 years ago, houses stopped partially built....
I took a job 3 months ago, back doing CMT, engineering, & inspections etc. We do mostly state gov't jobs. As a contractor, I never had the capital to chase this work, or survive.
I know sooo many trade guys that disappeared, or are in desperate straits. How do you guys get by? I have an engineering background, and was lucky enough to have contacts to go back into it.
