Hi everyone. I'm wondering if any one in canada has signed up for Rogers outrank. I'm wondering if you have had success with this and if you feel the leads you are getting are paying off.

For those of you that dont know about this...it's a program that sets your company up to be near the top of the major search engines. It's also develops an adversite and a mobile/tablet specialized site. It seems cool and something I can't do, but they quote around $500-$1300 per month for the service. For us, if we can sell a house without the realtor, we come out ahead.

Thoughts? Experiences?

They have packages but you cant click on them to find out what is included nor are there any prices.

I dunno, my gut says they provide a decent service but it is canned and whatever seo you get will be low tech.

FWIW there is no program that can "set your company near the top of major search engines" that you could market as a service en mass to clients.

There are also no reviews rolling on the sites or client websites to view. those are deal breakers for me.

If there is no contract and you take your site with you when you leave then give it a shot. Otherwise I would be hesitant.

1300 a month for a template site and some SEO? I am in the wrong Business, as JBM said there is no magic trick which places you right at the top of the search engines. You can throw 1300 into ad words a month and get no results if your website sucks and you are using bad keywords. Ad words just gets people to your site, it doesn't make them a customer.

2 things will improve your rankings for a website. Onsite and offsite seo. The days of using automated programs to produce links are dying. Some great things that work now, content marketing. Blog about the products you use, make videos etc. Have real video customer testimonials on your site. Use g+ it's low hanging fruit for some fast stable seo results.

There are alot of good and bad seo companies out there. 2 things to ask upfront, are you month to month or contract. Go with the month to month, 2nd. Are any or all profiles that you (the seo company) create, who will own them. One big problem, is that you company a build you all the profiles and citations to get you a better rankings, now 4 months later you cancel, and company a owns all the profile. What's worse is that they will often use a dummy address and fowarded phone number on all the profiles, this will majorly screw up you future online marketing goals.
