Meh, MS has always thought like an accountant does. Never any artistry to what they do. Function with a hidden agenda seems to be at all of their products core.

Why shouldn't he laugh? He was blinded by folks lining up to pay $500.00 for something his company never could have conceived of, let alone put into the public's hands.

Never trust a laughing CEO.

Microsoft has become one of the more arrogant software hight tech firms on the planet. They have always been in the business of lifting the top ideas of others, right from the day that Bill G. dropped out of college.

Steve Balmer may not be laughing once the shareholders kick him out from his cushy CEO job. Since he has taken over the position, what has happened on his watch?

- The Vista debacle

- The Zune - big time flop

- The X-box - Successful, but losing money as a division

- Windows Mobile being slowly pushed completely out of the mobile business

- OpenOffice taking market share from Office

Luckily Windows 7 has taken some of the bad taste out of people's mouths from Vista, and Microsoft Bing is slowly gaining search share - at the expense of Yahoo, not Google though.

Microsoft has been riding the success of the mid-90's for a long time now. That ride is not going to last much longer.
