It's becoming a more frequent problem, possibly from new people searching topics of interest and replying to old threads.

any chance Nathan can make an icon to indicate when a thread is over a certain age (say 1yr old)?

A lot of it is guys pumping
their post count so they can
add links and pix.
That sign guy went nuts
over the weekend so he could
sell to us easier.

Hope he got kicked. :whistling

I think a lot of it is the similar threads at the bottom. It's easy to click on a really old thread and then post a comment at the end bringing it back to the top.

I don't mind additional info being added to old posts. It's all about getting as much info as possible for others to read.

but when it responds to the person who made the post...I take issue with it.
because the chances of the original poster replying is nill.

I like the view from the cheap seats .....some bozo will reply to an OP's singular post that is years old.

I'll dredge this up in a year or so.....which reminds me:shifty:

Nathan had it down pretty well
6 years ago.....

Hey guys

As some of you know I'm currently putting together a DIY site called www.diychatroom.com

In my view there are three major flaws with most contractor boards.
First, most of them are designed poorly.
Second, they become infested by people who cause trouble and have nothing good to say.
Last, they become a place for homeowners to ask contractors questions instead of a place for contractors to share business and trade knowledge.
......................
Thanks!

What's any of that got to with the OP's question ?:confused1:

Is 4x4 some kind of a nub?

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
