Ran across these figured I'd share. Brings back memories of being a kid. As I twitch, only yhing missing is the lead LOL

I packed one or two Jute joints back in the day.

But literally one or two, just helping a plumber out. I don't recall if I was able to lead them in or not. I probably did get to play with it as I recall. Quite some time ago.

Jute was used on hub and spigot CI water mains, as it would pack much tighter than oakum would, I remember the good old days of water main irons and swinging a short handle 4 pound drilling hammer all day long.
