Old hardware

2512 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  blackbird03
I recently moved to a small town in western Wisconsin and into a 100+ year old house much in need of repair. One of the items I'd like to find in order to keep the project historically accurate is storm window hardware. Are there any suppliers left in the US which make the old style hardware or am I relegated to searching salvage shops? If I can find a supplier, I'd like to start up a side business doing repairs for the dozens of needy clients in my region.

They carry a lot of old building supplies.
Contact a local window replacement store. Maybe they could hook you up.
All the old building will be torn down by then.:w00t:

First and foremost, thanks to all. I'm setting up my shop this weekend. (Can you by glazing in a 5 gallon pail?) This will give me plenty to do in the off season!!
