Well after i had heard such good things about occidental on here i thought i would purchase one of there new Fat lip models. All i can say is wow! The thing is so comfortable and i see now why the fat lip is called the most comfortable tool belt ever. The padded belt makes it feel like you aint even wearing the thing. Cant wait to wear this thing in a little. They really have put a lot of thought into the design of the tool belts.

Also much much much nicer in person that it looks in pictures.

How heavy is that sucker? I used to have all leather Oxys and ditched them for custom made Diamond Backs. I paid stupid money for the DBs and now I'm using only one of the DB pouches with an $18 Lowes pouch and an $18 HD padded belt.

What's even worse is that I rarely even wear a toolbelt anymore because I have fallen in love with Bjornklader pants. Between the kneepads and all the proper pockets, they are just amazing.

I would guess at about 5lbs but our scales wont weight them properly as they are too light. I think the Occi tool belts are a great belt for the money. I think i only paid $220 for mine. I also wear pants with padded knees but only when im working doing flooring work or plumbing. I have the skiller cool twill pants what are the best padded knee pants i have ever owned. Been through maybe 7 pairs of different pants in the last 10 years.

I never heard of them, but when I Googled them the first link led me here:

Had to edit out the URL...
....and this is the description in the ad:
Bjornklader Men Black Pants / Gay Interest
I should have been a little more clear.

I got Occidental Pro Framers:laughing::laughing::laughing:

J-R Distributors in Mass is where I order them from.

I've tried Blaklader pants too and thought they were good until I tried the Bjornkladers. They just seem to be designed better so the kneepads are always in the right place.

I wear these pants every day I work because having those kneepads saves A LOT of wear and tear on your knees. You don't realize how often you take a knee during the course of a regular day.

I have gotten well away from carrying my entire truck of tools on my hips.

One double or triple pouched Nicholson cheapo with leather hammer loops so as not to scratch any cabinets and I'm good. Though my shirt and vest pockets are filled with stuff, I'd rather not look like a warrior preparing to team up with Batman.....that reminds me my winter vest has some pocket holes that need sewing up.

I always laugh when my vinyl siding buddies show up with a pouch they have never emptied, and suspenders to hold a bunch of empty bags filled with a weeks assortment of nails they might need Tuesday for a job they are doing Thursday.

That belt looks almost too nice to wear.

For pants that are very comfortable and take knee pads I found these to be great
http://www.lapolicegear.com/511-74251-closeout.html

They are made by 5.11. Tough pants with a lot of pockets. Maybe not as stylish as the Blaklader pants but that's a good thing. You want to use tools and not look like one! ;)

Also, they are clearance now for about $20 vs $50 full price.
