Nucedar vertical siding

well you could use Hardie plank in the width you want and do a board and batten detail,there are a few threads here

Does anyone have any experience with the Nucedar vertical siding. The vinyl just doesn't do it for me. Or are their any other choices for vertical that doesn't come in 4 x 8 sheets.

How many years did you get out of it?

^^^ yup,you can get cedar factory finished with a warranty which would be cost comparable to NU-Cedar

I'm in this boat now with the cedar on my house.
Southern exposure, wasted.
Everything else looks brand new.

18 years old now.

House is 22 years old.
I should have back primed when i built the house. It's a raised ranch. When i added a 2 car garage, about 15 years ago, I back primed all the siding that was replaced above the roof and garage walls. It still looks great. The rest of the house looks like crap. One side started rotting.
Never thaught I would give up the wood siding but it takes me about 4 months to prep and paint.
