Grumpy: NKBA is the National kitchen and bath assoc. http://nkba.org/
I went to a meeting the other day (don't remember when) Was pretty cool. made some good contacts.
Mike: It's pretty good. they Charge you for liek EVERYTHIGN tho... but made a few of my Customers feel better when they found out i was a member.
You have to have 7 years experience before you can join them don't you? Or is that just to be certified by them? I figured joining and being certified were one in the same.
NKBA seems to deal almost exclusively with kitchen and bathrooms only, heavily into design, certifications, selling you courses and testing you, NARI seems to be a bit more general purpose geared to remodeling in general.
