Hey guys, I just signed up tonight, and I have a few questions. I'm going to be GCing a decent sized addition for a customer and the framing is beyond me doing it in house. I usually only have a helper and our jobs are typically smaller than this. I'm young and been in business for myself for only about 4 years, been in the trades for 8. I used to run job sites and manage crews. I have all my other subs covered except a framer. The only crew I never managed was framers, but I know how to frame and have done it many times before (we did modular homes when i worked for someone else, stick frame garages ). I was always told that the good framers charged 5 bucks a square foot, which i always thought was low in this area (princeton, nj - yardley, pa areas) this was also 6 years ago. What should i be looking at now days? I typically quote an addition and know I'm not subbing, so this never has been a question before. Also, not sure if we are allowed to ask on here, but... anyone local want to look at the job? Joe Carola? Thanks guys.

Dan

First off welcome. You've done well at dodging bullets by asking price in a round about way and proving your a contractor, ( nice site ). The other thing you want to remember, so your time here is fun and informative is never quote the first post if your the second poster. :whistling As far as your first GC I would like to show you a little helper of mine.
