Firstly, I'd like to wish you all a Happy 2010! May this year see more and more customers enjoying the excellent benefits of rigid-PU foam insulation.

I'm glad I finally found a group of like-minded individuals with whom experiences can be shared. I stumbled across this forum by accident after researching the pros and cons of vapour barriers when using rigid closed-cell PU. Some of you recommend them (even when using closed-cell foam), others don't. See my detailed posting 'Closed-Cell Rigid PU as a Vapour Barrier' under Insulation.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Welcome! Although construction methods are vastly different in South Africa, I don't know if you'll find much use out of this site or not. Welcome anyway, hope it helps.

Thanks Kenn. Yes, construction methods differ in the US, however, the spraying of rigid PU insulation is pretty much the same, although material specs may differ. Aren't lightweight steel frames also gaining a foothold in the US?
