I still have my 14.4 makita drill that is still kicking. Had good luck for a long time on the 18 volt bats from about 5 years ago. But the last coupe of years it seems the new bats are dieing fast

makita had the new saw at teh big tool event back at the end of novemeber but it was encased in glass. you could only look at it. no hands on

i havent had any issues with my makita batteries.. the owner of our company has had his makita batteries up and disapear on him but they havent gone stale yet some are 3 years old. some are 6 months old
