Hello everyone! I am new here, and just happened to stumble upon this forum....I have a question about prevailing wage.

It is my understanding that the State Prev. Wage Rate Superceedes the Federal Davis Bacon Rate

I have also heard that it DEPENDS on the FUNDING source....what exactly does this mean. Sorry if I appear to be dumb about this, but I didnt realize that it depended on the funding source.....so I just need someone to elaborate a bit more on this....I previously paid State Prev. Wage. for a Federal Prev. Wage Job, and never once considered this "Funding Source" bit.

so if u can help, that would be greatly appreciated! ;)

First, take some time and go to the intro section. There are a lot of people wiht knowledge here that will be happy to help. But... We like to know about you.

Now as for your questions:

The key to all of this is the funding source. If the source is the feds, you will be required to pay the fed rate and so forth.
My problem, is if you are a contractor and have bid a job, they are generally very specific about the rules you will be working under. I guess, ask the contact that is on the bid form if you have further questions.
