Just thought I would pass this on to whom ever may benefit.
I just had to put on a new nozzle holder and I know it can be difficult to get an even cut. The way that works best for me is to push the hose past the end of the new holder and use the end as a guide for a regular Stanley knife blade. Tends to make a pretty straight cut the first attempt. Add a new washer and should be well.

Great Idea! The washer goes between the end of the hose and the nozzle holder, correct?

I seemed to have missed the first 323 tips for newbies.
