Snagged a new truck- 2012 GMC 3500HD regular cab with a flatbed; too good of a deal to pass up. Big upgrade, but now I need to build it out to carry tools and theoretically still fit 2 pallets in the middle. Forcible organization, moving from a 2006 2500hd cclb with crossover toolbox and bed cover. Gang box and shovel rack going to be the temporary solution but then what else?? Trying to be functional, not ghetto, but not stupid money.

For me, I would two topside boxes on the sides, and a lumber rack.

I personally am dead in the water without a lumber rack.

If you really want storage, you can do double stacked topside boxes. 👍

With the topsides, you should still have room for pallets/sheet goods in between.

They are also not cheap.
