my property maintenance part of my company has grown alot over this last year. I started doing lawncare a few years back just for some extra income. i love it, it was a nice break from pounding nails, very relaxing. anyway started out just me my persoal lawn care equipment that i already had. riding mower, push mower and weed wacker. this past summer my accounts trippled.

i need new "professional" equipment. what are some brands i should be looking for and some i should be staying away from. in my area i have both john deer and toro dealers. Any info would be appreciated.

I like Shindaiwa for string trimmers and brush cutters, Echo blowers, Husqvarna chain saws, Honda mowers. Skag for zero turn.

ARS makes some fine hand saws/long reach pole saws.

And Corona's pro line of habd tools are pretty good. Fiskars has some nice pruners/loppers.

Red max blowers and trimmers, Skag walk behinds, Exmark ride-ons, Stihl string trimmers, Lawn Boy small mowers, Husqvarna chain saws, and corona hand tools... good luck and just remember take care of the equipment and it will stay good to you for a long long time.

For your trimmers, check out Flexiblade made by Oregon Chain. That stuff is awesome. It's cut trimming time by about 25%.

And it can handle some pretty gnarly brush with the heavier lines.

for blowers & trimmers i stick with redmax & echo, stihl also makes some good equipment, as far as chainsaws i use stihl husky makes solid ones also mowers scag & exmark weather its a walkbehind or ztr theres no beating 'em if you need a small 21" push mower also honda makes a solid proline
