I'm not here to debate my credentials or whether I'm what you'd qualify as a pro. Was the gentlemans answer above incorrect? (It wasn't) Otherwise I'm not sure why I'd head over to a do it yourself forum.

Thanks anyway. I'll keep quiet and refrain from asking anymore questions here until Ive got a contractors license number to give you.

The thing that irks me often is how many people want to ask some random online dude who might be a contractor for some free advice.
This is how contractors make their living.
That’s like asking your mechanic for some free advice so that you can fix your own car.

The DIY site is full of helpful people willing to share their ideas. Smart guys over there. Try it out.

Apologies y'all. My father was a carpenter, I worked with him my whole life. Ive landed on building furniture. I've done a little of it all. I knew what I wanted to do with this situation but you never know what you don't know and I thought I should find a discussion forum that I could ask. I assure you my intention wasn't to be a free loader, if there was a way to pay to ask my question I would've. My dad passed away in November, and this kind of project is something he'd be helping me on. Got my feathers ruffled earlier and I do apologize.

The header does in fact go all the way across the SGD for the record, I've got the wall opened up right now as I type this. Respect and good wishes to you all. If there was a way to delete an account I would, this is clearly not a place to have asked this question.

Grit your teeth and ask anyway. Don’t be so soft and we won’t be so hard.

(Sadly, I have to tell you that this is exactly what I say to every new man that joins the site that doesn’t do an introduction post. When you sign up, you’re clearly told to do an introduction post. Following the directions would have saved you this trouble.)

if you can’t read they will certainly have you over at diy.com. THATS a joke btw.

My accountant was telling me the other day about the advantages of a different type of corporation.

She said the “Furniture Medic” is a local business that made the change, and was happy, but had to get a new CCB#.

Turns out furniture repair businesses lend well to fixing cabinets, doors, drawers, etc.

Not everyone here builds spec houses.

Yes, an introduction would have helped.
