Need some new ideas - best resources?

1500 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  GO Remodeling
I'm feeling like I need some new outlets to get the latest news and trends in the flooring installation industry - specifically subfloor preparation (getting into a lot of remodeling jobs). Besides this forum, what sites/forums/magazines, even social media pages, are good to keep up with for the latest and greatest?

Thanks for the time.

Well, with all due respect, there aren't really any decent forums anymore. Hell, maybe there never were. Manufacturers websites have a ton of information. I get FCI in the mail. I suppose if I didn't know anything, I'd find it useful. NWFA puts out a mag called Hardwood Floors that is actually pretty good. Their website is also good.

In the end, the best thing you can do is attend schools. The free ones usually suck, but if you pay, they're usually worth what they cost. Looking back, the only times I ever felt like I got robbed attending some class was when they were free. Time I'll never get back.
I've got a link to the NWFA installation guidelines... It's a pretty handy read. Can't post it here, but when I get on my laptop I'll post it up.
