Need help with my humidifier

2 years ago I got a new American standard furnace. I had them put in a aprilaire 500 series humidifier that's not working as of this winter. Anyone that can help diagnose the problem would be awesome. I'll answer all questions the the best of my ability

Is that the unit with a small fan motor? If so, is the unit pluged in? Which lights come on...etc?
Thanks, I actually just got it going and got everything back together.

Monday I looked at it and jumped across the humidistat and it turned on, so I ordered a new one. It came Friday so I put it in yesterday, but it still wasn't working so I just went and took it all apart and put it back together and it works, so maybe I just had a bad connection somewhere?

Maybe low-voltage wiring issue

There can be a short somewhere in the wiring from the control power to the humidistat to the humidifier itself. Check all connections, as I'm sure you are doing!

Thanks, it's been working fine since, so I don't know. Haven't woken up with a dry bloody nose all week!
