Need Help on New Name/Business

I usually don't write any post but I just cant seem to come up with a name that will join or describe what I do, these are the 3 sectors of my work.

1) Bathroom renovations
2) Tile Work
3) Granite Fabrication

The current name is HAAS Builders but I don't do any building. I just bought a granite fabrication company named North Jersey Marble and Granite that has been tarnished by the old owner.

I find most of my work is bathroom renovations and tile work is up there to. My work zone is 25 miles from my warehouse, the average homes for my targeted work zone is 300,000.00 to 600,000.00 the average income per household is 74,300.00.

I just purchased the granite fabrication shop and moved the operation to my warehouse and would like to get that established. The problem is I don't know if I should keep the name or join the 3 and try to get a competitive edge on my bathroom renovations by having a granite fabrication shop or should I advertise them separately.

Pleas give me input.

Could name your company "Rock Solid" then add extensions in your individual marketing efforts.

In example

ROCK SOLID baths
ROCK SOLID counters
ROCK SOLID stonework

anyway you get the point
These days a name with keywords will take you far.
Good advice! Think of a name as a typical google search.

Myself like other don't go to the printed yellowbooks, we surf/search.

Think general, but specific.

General like tile or granite not bathroom.
Specific like your town name or the closest metro area, not state or county.

Hope this helps

If you are planning on doing any tile work or granite fabrication for other remodelers, I suggest you keep the company separate from your bath remodeling company. Guys may not want to give you their fabrication or tile work if they know you are their competitor as well.
How old is the North Jersey Marble

Even if North Jersey Marble has a bad rep they may have a lot of people who will refer to this name for many years when they call information.

After only 3 years in business I moved to a new city and had to get a new local phone number. I stopped advertising my old phone number, when I moved, but I had the number transferred to my new location. I continued to get calls on the old number for about 15 or 20 years.

I like 'Jersey Marble and Tile'. I don't care for the word 'North' so I would advertise under both names and try to lose the word 'North' in 5 years. The word 'North' starts the company name with a limitation and people may forget to use the word 'North' when seeking your phone number. Most people like to abbreviate everything, use anograms, and make names easier to say by dropping words.

I call my insurance broker's company Colonial Insurance. They are located in the South Bay area, but when I call information I can't get the operator to give me their number because rather than naming their company 'Colonial Insurance of South Bay' they named the company 'South Bay Colonial Insurance'. I think the name is backwards and confusing. They put the most important part of the name last. Names have to be simple to remember and make sense.

I would not put "We Do It Right The First Time" in any ad. This is another bad connotation that gives people fuel for bad thoughts. Just use "We Do It Right" or "We Do It Better" or something that is only positive. Search for words that paint a picture of a beautiful bathroom.
