I am new to the site and am looking for advice on blasting copper.

I own a Dustless Blaster and had a customer call me to Blast the paint off copper he has on his house. I typically use 40/70 glass. I'm sure it will take off the paint but I am concerned about what kind of finish it will leave.

Can someone give me some advice?

Can't help with the blasting, but copper is generally very soft.

What is it that is painted and with what?

Glass will leave it profiled, surely not what the customer wants! Soda, walnut shell, etc for that job. Hey, you need a dry pot too!

Sorry for the delay but I just got back in here. Of course it is different with every system , coating and operator. I can tell you it takes off auto paint fast but a good primer will just crawl off. All you could really do is test. Up to you if you charge for that time. Is there a piece of this copper that could be removed and taken to your shop?
