they end up scattered I'd like them all in one convenient place 2 drivers and at least one drill, if it has room for an extra battery or 2 bonus. i realize this tote (that is what I prefer to be open) could get a little heavy

This setup works great for me. I don’t use drill bits a lot. I also have a small container with spade bits.

They go in the tstak rolling box with the every day tools- impact, drill, circular and recip saws, OMT, hammer, cats paw, and speed square.

Very small footprint, with the spade bits takes care of 95% of drilling and driving needs.

For some reason I have ended up with 3 laptop computer attache cases.

I use one to hold my Makita 18 V drill driver, Makita impact and Bosch 12 volt.
One battery in the tool and 2 spare batteries.

Plenty of pockets for bits, etc.

Soft sides/top...zippered...it works great.

In a finish work environment yes, but I'm liable to put a hole in a 200 investment, or crush it. The 200 buys 4 new batteries on sale at Christmas time.

It does seem like a nice system it just probably wouldn't work for me. I'll still end up checking it out since you can get the charger and the screws in the package

I have totes and bags out the ying yang and they are either too small or too big...too small gets too crowded and too big ends up with other stuff in there and then it's likewise.

I'm looking for the perfect set up something smart with maybe even the charger integrated, room for large or small index, driver wall, extra bit storage, etc

I got the idea in my head. Now if I had some sheet metal and a press break. now days they seem like cardboard with fabic stretched over them

Yep I've done that with my rehab kit served me well for 10 years or more. I still have it. It's quite long about 30" or better. Holds long crowbars, Framing squares, etc. Has leather tool holder for small tools. Level clips on the side, Brass push plate on one side to engrave my name (which I never did) and a 3/4" round copper handle

I just jam a bunch of cordless gear in one of those ridgid boxes. I can fit a drill, driver, hackzall, omt, flashlight, batteries, charger, bits, blades, wheels all in 1 medium box.

We use these boxes to organize hardware. http://www.durhammfg.com/catalog.html?id=44

Not the answer your looking for but works for me. One hand grabs toolbox, the other grabs the appropriate hardware box and off you go.

Wise ass. Lol.

After going about ten years with the Fein 250q with the hardcase, I went through 3 newer ones that come with a large tote.

Can hold quite a few batteries and tools. Bad thing about bags are that when I need something at the bottom everything becomes disarray until I get around reorganizing. Pita.

I use some bags like that for various items so they don't get lost on the bottom
Husky has some, and I've seen them at Lowes as well.

I have a few Sure microphone bags I've been using for things, one are the smaller masonry bits, another spead bores.

A few years ago I eliminated my plumbing bag and put it all in a Rigid tool box , medium one. It's a game changer over a bag.

The only bag I'm using now is a large Makita one which holds all my taping tools, couple rolls tape, and the screwgun.
