How about a free tool, or a discount or something. Blowing smoke up everybody's skirt with all these TV and printed ads does nothing for me!
today was national bacon day... I celebrated...
Somebody call 9-1-1 !

5% off if you used your home depot contractor credit card.

LOL :)

5% off.....25% interest if your not REALLY careful about paying the full amount on time and not one day late.

Woohooooo, good deal. I'll just continue paying cash, thank you...how about a discount for that? Real money...no waiting.

A number of years ago I opened up a commercial account with them because they had a deal where you got a $100 in free merchandise for opening it. I used it off and on for a couple of years.

Then I got a notice that they were increasing the rate to 24.99%! Ouch!

My credit was excellent & my other card was prime + 1% which at the time worked out to about 4%. I told them they could put that rate where the sun doesn't shine!

The other thing that burns me is they won't offer a discount unless you get above the $2500 threshold to make it to the "bid room". I've gone round and round with our store manager & the regional pro desk manager about how much I spend there, but it's just not usually in $2500 increments. Deaf ears!

They did that here too. Free juice and muffins, but they already give me 15% off

I think Elvis started that holiday, that looked like his lunch menu.
I like the term contractor appreciation better than tradesman day.
Yeah, gotta love contractor appreciation day by the big box stores. Then watch them turn around and undermine us every day by marketing installation services directly to the homeowner.

Look, first off by no means am I sticking up for the big boxes stores. I do think something needs clarifying. The big box stores do not have employees do their installs (at least in N.W. Indiana) . The installers are independent contractors. With that said they can do as many or as few instalsl for the big box as they want. You could do the same if you desire.
