Ok I got on your favorite website (CL) and found a guy with an Airless for $60... I gave him $40.
I bought it because I wanted the Hose. When I got home, darned hose had 7 kinks in it!

Ah well the hose had no leaks and it worked with my (NEW) $50 Graco Magnum gun on my other $5 Airless.

I figured what the heck let me test this Airless the guy said didn't work or needed O-rings ...He didn't know!

I hooked it up and it worked fine... For about 5 minutes and then the thing sounded like it went back to PRIME. I flipped the switch to prime and back and it started spraying again. I thought I could live with that unless I'm up a ladder. The intake was not original, it was a piece of plastic grey conduit. I swapped it out with the pictured intake hose.

Nah, still messed up after about 5 minutes. I looked over at the airless and noticed an Air bubble at the top of the intake. I slipped on an oring because it had large treads on the intake point and wrapped it with plumbers tape, slipped the hose back on (This time with a hose clamp) Played with it for 2 hours spraying soapy water.

I spent a total of Airless $40, Gun $50, Hose $7 and new factory intake hose $25.

Then I still needed another gun and look what I got for $23

3 full guns not pictured, These are what I cleaned and put together from a bucket of parts.

Also got a second 50' hose for $10

Anyone wanna buy the diaphragm airless? treefiddy?

Nice find.

But seriously, don't skimp on the hose! They will fail on you and can make a real mess. You should be able to find a 50' new hose for about $40, and it should last you a few years.

It is a good idea to replace your hoses about every 2 years or so depending on usage. I have been spraying for about 20 years, and have had 3 hoses blow on me. Trust me they give no warning, and they usually fail at the coupling. And if you get serious about using the airless, you might want to invest in an 1/8th id hose. They are real arm savers.
Look what I got for $25.
Look what I bought at the flea market last weekend for $5.00. Beat that.

Sweet. I personally check out the tools section in CL every day. I've found some fantastic deals, but no airless for less than $200. Good Deal!

This dude was posting "LADDER AIRLESS PAINT $160" like 5 times a day and I called him once to buy just the hose and he said no. A week later I called and asked what he wanted for the Airless and now he says it has no gun... Hmmm curious.... He said he wanted $60 I said let me think about it. Next day was Friday (4th of July weekend) I called and said I got $40 I'll go pick it up right now. He took it.

I wan't expecting the airless to work at all and the Piston kit is $80 I was willing to spend that on an airless with double stroke piston. But luckily I'm a pretty handy handyman. I can fix almost anything.

i check daily too on Craigslist. good bargains can be had if you search often... ;)
awww, my screen is tooo wide now- with that hunerd dollar bill strechin' it...
I did just buy an airless. Graco 650. These are going for $1000 used $3000 new. I got it for $200 and it pumps water. I'm having it checked out by the paint shop right now as a matter of fact. I got a big painting job starting tomorrow. Perfect timing. Some days I love CL. Now if I could just find that 10 aluminum step ladder in great shape for $35 I'd be a happy camper.
Salvage yard, $2. Beat that.

I need to figure out what to do with it. Neighbors cat just had 3 headed kittens.

That'd make a helluva wheelbarrow. Is it plastic or metal and what do the 3 headed or 3 headless cats have to do with it?

It's a nuclear bomb Manny. If I actually had one I would take it deep into the Clearwater forest, fly you first class to Spokane, have a luxury limo take you to it, and pay you $20 an hour to beat on it w/ a sledgehammer.
