I opened the boxes of tile last night and of the 3 kinds of tile, 2 were wrong. I started anyway. The empty spaces will be 2" polished glass.

Thanks! I've been excited about this one since the tile was ordered. Wrong tile I suppose.
Glass came wrong size 1" instead of 2" and I'm missing 7 sheets of 2" copper. I sure hope it doesn't take as long to get as the original order.
HO took the pics, they're not so good but the marble is really beautiful in person. Should turn out very good!

Very nice material. Where was it sourced? What's the counter?
This is actually part of a major kitchen remodel that "paused" for about a year while one of the HOs went through a major surgey. They are doing the finishing touches now. I really like them as they took about 90% of my suggestions and let me get a little wild at times. They are both seniors.

It took about 6 months to come up with a backsplash design they liked. I always deal with Daltile when it's my choice. Not sure what happened with this order but probably got confusing because I let the HO get the tile at my cost so they actually did the final order. I'm sure somewhere between their senior-selves and the Dal-designer's interpretation, things got mixed up.

Counter is only Staron solid surface. At the time, I was having issues with my ex-stone supplier so quartz or granite just wasn't in the budget. There's a "natural" theme happening overall so I wasn't happy about the solid surface. Oh well....

Nice work, as usual. Really like the kitchen backsplash.

Interesting "chair rail" concept in the bathroom. Who's idea? How is the wall being finished above and below?

This was my design. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while but the concept just didn't work in a full bath.

The walls will be painted, two tone. Most likely, dark below, lighter above. OR wainscot to match the vanity door (bead panel) and then just paint above.

I just finished grouting. Final pics later tonight.

How is the coper border attached?

Looks great!
It's Schluter Jolly and it gets embedded in thinset. However, because the glass is clear, I had to skim-coat the area before setting the tile. Post #7, 1st pic.

Yeah, I actually wanted them to go with a more colorful glass (below) and a ORB profile but those are they colors they chose. At least I talked them into doing the cherry bead board below the tile. I'm also close to finishing the kitchen tile.

I actually hate mosaics. I tend to push a more linear tile for backsplashes, chair rails and borders.

I'll try to pull up some of my back splashes as an example.

I once did a "full sweep" backsplash in 1/2" x 1/2". Was like pulling teeth.

Sorry cheap camera.

Pita glass mosaic, at least the countertops were easy!
