MUST remove carpet's underpad?

I’m replacing carpet with laminate. Do I HAVE to remove carpet's cushion/underpad or I can put laminate’s underlayment on the top of it?

You will void the warantee of your laminate ,first and foremost.

That is way too much cusion under a laminate floor it will be flexing and popping every time you walk on it,and eventually your edges of your planks will start to chip from all the movement.
Total destruction if installed on carpet padding. very very soon after install. Maybe in minutes!
