Unfortunetly there are still a lot of people in my area that still like the golden oak look of the 80's and 90's.I have never been a fan of Minwax but that is what a lot of the contractors used in that period and I still have to match it.
I just had 600' of custom oak base and casing made.Applied Minwax golden oak stain.Next day applied sealer coat and then 2 coats of poly over the next couple days.Looked good.
Got to customers house and set the saws up outside in the sun and started to install.Noticed stain spots bleeding thru the top coats. These were not present in the shop.Only after they got out in the sun.Anyone ever seen anything like this?

That's what I figured too.Just didn't make much since to me .It had been in a heated shop for 24 hours before applying the sealer.Still the only thing I can come up with.Just never seen it before.

Yep--had the happen several times---the sun heats up the wood---wipe it down with mineral spirits==

I hate it when that happens----
