I finally got to see them in person yesterday. HD had 5 of them on the floor with all the other black Friday specials.

I think they just been holding out on us.

Keter makes a lot of plastic products. They are based out of Israel.
They make a lot of our plastic storage solutions. I have heard they make the ridgid tool boxes and the Milwaukee packout system.

Someone did a video to buy the non pack out cleartop organizer. Use the cups for the smaller pack out case you just got. And set up the bigger organizer with drill formed plastic and your most common screws. Not bad actually. Somewhere on youtube6

 

Just discovered there are no bins in these organizers. How am I supposed to organize anything?

Noticed on instagram a company called kaizan has made a special adapter to make the non pack out organizers compatible with the pack out system.

 

How does everyone like their packout so far? My HD brought in 4 stacks for Black Friday and not a single one sold. I wonder if they'll drop in price at all. Also wonder if Milwaukee will put out a radio like the dewalt tough radio.

 

Very happy thus far. I have zero regrets.

I love mine makes moving everything around super easy.

As I said earlier at first I didn't like the price then I looked at it as an investment.

Personally I could care less if they added a radio to it or not.

In the packout rolling base unit. Under the lid there are two holes that line up with the two holes for the rapid dual charger. Left or right side. It will fight with the tray if you need them on same side.

Pro tip.........careful the screw depth or you will poke through the lid.........don't ask how I know.

 

Any idea what the two holes in the center between mounted chargers are for? Looks like battery or tape measure or something of similar size.

I was going to see how to do it to one of the ridgid base units. Since I have several of those too. But was resetting my packout for diffent task and thought those two holes looked very handy for that idea.

 

Been using my rolling packout for a few weeks now on a bigger commercial job. I am building a bunch of small balcony decks on a apartment building. It works perfect for rolling unit to unit with all my stuff, eliminating multiple trips. It rolls pretty good through mud, rocks, over all the regular debris you find on a jobsite. It seems to stay dry inside when I leave it in the back of the truck and it rains. It can get a little heavy loaded up but not a big deal to me. So far I have found it easier to carry up and down the stairs instead of trying to roll it. I feel like it should hold up well to the abuse of normal job-site activities.

I'm balls deep in Ridgid and DeWalt tough system. Is this one that much better?

Systainer are turds because they're so brittle but really useful because so versatile.
Ridgid - you could hide in when a nuke goes off to keep your family safe but not versatile
DeWalt - is a mix between the two but doesn't accel at either.

If these do both I'd be happier than a pig in ****. Their clear top organizers are my favorite I have for fasteners. They stay mostly in the shop but they take a beating and are really comfortable to handle.

They are promising. I'll switch just because the DeWalt drawers sucked ball sacks and don't open or close worth a damn and it pissed me off.

 

Deckhead, the cost of switching is really not that much all things considered. Especially if you can resell some of your current tool boxes. I too have stacks of Ridgid boxes, and there are parts of the Packout system that is starting to look desirable, especially if they continue to come out with innovative items.

My Systainer's are going to be sticking around though, just for the fact my Festool stuff is safe in them. First I am going to try a stack of the Packout's, then IF I like them, find the Packout's on sale and start swapping out and reselling the Ridgid's. Black Friday might be when a decision needs to be made by.

Talking to the rep the other day. He said they made enough to be comparable to what the other companies sold in a year. Then Milwaukee sold a years worth in two weeks (they didn't see that coming)

They are also launching something like 15 new accessories for the packout line this year.

 

Could you share what some of those "future accessories" might be? I read you mentioned a compressor which would be cool. What else?

Bought my first Packout tool kit yesterday, which came with a roller box, and am going to give a stack a try.

 

Will be sweet once they can get them back in stock I know around me they were selling like hot cakes they could out 15 on the floor and it would be gone in an hour

I think you should try them out. Pretty slick! At first I thought those little metal bar corners would be useless.........till I started always grabbing them to pull them in or out of the truck. Or out of the way of where I'm working. Now I think they are genius.
