Is it a Knock down jamb?
I frame my R.O. for Steel Knock down 3' 0" x 7' 0" doors 38" x 85"

Would someone please tell me what the rough opening in a steel stud wall needs to be for a metal door frame? :blush: The door is a 36 inch by 7 foot.

40 by 7ft 2 for welded always 2inchis biger all the way around .
I do welded 40 1/4" in the width.. you need to know how tall the top of the frame is for the height I think some are 2 and some are 4. You are most likely a knockdown though so see above.
