Nick and Paul from The John Stevens Shop are at Yale lettering an entry to a new building. Jot to watch them work a bit and then have a few beers. Great guys and they rarely admit to how good they are at what they do.

Here's a short video on Nicks Macarthur Award. Pretty big deal if you know what it is,

You didn't really fill me in when you asked for a watering hole on Chapel now did you? Quite impressive I must say! And I can just about use a star drill. :-0

WOW, that has got to take forever to do. I never knew they were done by hand, I thought they were sandblasted somehow.

Notice how the Vs line up on the W in the top pic. They have to be offset because the 2 lines are different widths. All done by eye and feel.
yea, the left side is wider than the right. I never noticed that before.
I could watch someone do that all day long, what a skill :thumbsup:
