What does that saying going. You can't teach a god new tricks....

I reach for the fatmax IF I need the standout.

Otherwise, I'm always grabbing my old Green Leverlock.
Passed by a small town while on vacay, saw the green leverlocks that I could no longer find, picked up a bakers dozen of them. I know most of ya'll dis-taste the leverlocks, but I guess it will just be me and my green leverlocks and tripod ladders..

Fat Max 16 for carrying. 25 and a 30 in the truck.
Stainless rulers and a story tape in the shop mostly.
BIG Numbers!!:pinch:
Stanley Powerlock 25' for general use. Can't go wrong at about $10 a tape.

16' Stanley for interior/finish.

And the 25' Fat Max with the magnetic tip when doing metal studs.

I've got a couple regular Fat Maxes, but don't use them much. Just not a huge fane of them.
I know I'm in the minority here but I like these.

I absolutely hate easy read and self centering tapes, way too jumbled and busy for me. These Lufkins are plain and simple and the fact that they are orange makes them harder to misplace.

I used to only use the Stanley power lock 25'. Now I've switched to the milwaukee in the last few months. 16' for trim and 25' for everything else.

I have the self centering Lufkin. Last tape I reach for, buts it's been in the van going on 10 years.
Fat Max 25

Don't like the lock though, requires to much pressure

Saw they have a new Fat Max 25 with auto lock (press thumb button to release). It work like butter

I just don't need another tape at the moment. I hope it sticks around

My fairly new Fat Max lock doesn't work at all. But still my favorite tape.

I also like my Centerpoint. Perfect for finding mid-measures when doing cabinet making hardware.

16' for trim, 25' for everything else. also like powerlocks, but these dewalts are the perfect compromise between fatmax and powerlock for me. fatmaxes are just "too much" for me.

Fatmax 25 in the tool belt. Otherwise one of the last the craftsman 25' is always on my side with a magneto magnetic holder.
Fat max 30' I'm on my third one in about three years.
I swore by fat max 16's for years, but they break after a while.

The new Milwaukee is the best tape I have ever owned. Super smooth.
Buy the 30' fat max by the case. I keep a 40 with me for chalking out.
Another vote for Fat Max 16'. When they break I buy another one. I'm not easy on them and I'm happy with how long they last.

Lifetime guarantee also. I bought the twin pack for about $12 after Christmas. Got a nick in the 25 a week ago and they replaced it. 16' stays in the console of the van. I hate the big huge tapes.
Fatmax 40' is my everyday, but i have a craftsman 30', bostich 35', milwaukee 25', bostich 16', (2) fatmax 25' (3) fatmax 30' and about 10 fatmax 35'. You never know when you'll need a tape right?!

I have a problem dont i
